In short yes, we can arrange to transfer your existing phone number across to our system so you can keep it. Please check with our Support Team first.
Yes, we wouldn’t want you to be paying twice! As soon as you have confirmation from us and an installation date it’s best to contact your current supplier and cancel. Most suppliers will ask for 14 to 31 days’ notice, so we should be able to get you connected before your old services are switched off.
All the services provided by VFM (that’s your new broadband and phone, if you decide to take both) will be installed at the same time when our engineer visits. If you decide to take a SKY package then SKY will be in touch directly to arrange a separate installation.
When you take a service from us you’re agreeing to commit to receiving and paying for that service for a minimum amount of time (e.g. 12 months or 18 months). This is the initial term, minimum subscription, minimum period, minimum term or minimum commitment period – they mean the same thing. Please make sure when you sign up that you choose the correct minimum term. You do have a statutory 14 day cooling off period where you can cancel or change your order. Once the initial term has finished you’ll be switched to a monthly rolling contract.
Generally speaking the installation process should take up to an hour to complete. Our engineer will need to install a face plate in your property and bring the fibre through to connect to it. We will investigate the quickest way that will cause the least interference and inconvenience.
Yes, you or someone you authorise who is over the age of 18 will need to sign to say you have received the router and the installation has been completed. When you cancel your service we ask that you either return the router to us or leave it in your property for the next resident to use.
Not at all. Our network has been installed throughout the estate which means there’s no unsightly dish to install. We will simply connect your property to the network when we install.
If you cancel during the minimum term you may need to pay a fee equal to the remaining months left on your contract. This is because you’ll be asking to cancel your services early and breaking the agreement. Our network is only available in specific locations and does not cover all of the UK. You can move your services to another VFM location, but if you move to a location we do not service then you may need to cancel.
